LOCLbox ("we," "us," "our") operates loclbox.com and the LOCLbox platform. This policy describes what information we collect through loclbox.com and the LOCLbox platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to business owners who use LOCLbox ("merchants") and to their customers who book appointments or contact a merchant through a LOCLbox page ("clients").
Information we collect
- Merchant account information: name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, and business details you provide during signup.
- Client booking information: when you book an appointment or contact a business through a LOCLbox page: your name, phone number, email address, the service requested, and any message you send.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are collected and stored by Stripe, not on LOCLbox servers. We retain payment records (amounts, dates, status) and, where you agree to a cancellation policy, a record of that agreement (timestamp, policy version, and IP address).
- Usage information: standard web logs and page-view analytics (pages visited, referrer, and a non-identifying visitor key). We do not sell this data.
How we use information
- To provide the LOCLbox service: business pages, appointment scheduling, lead delivery, messaging, and payments.
- To send appointment-related text messages (reminders, confirmations, cancellation notices, and reward-program updates) only to clients who have given explicit consent during booking.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
SMS / text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf (such as our SMS delivery provider) solely to deliver the messages you asked for.
Clients opt in to SMS during booking via an explicit consent step. Message frequency varies with your appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See our SMS Program page for full program details.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to run LOCLbox: payment processing (Stripe), SMS delivery (Twilio), and infrastructure/hosting providers, and when required by law. We do not sell personal information. Booking information you submit to a business is shared with that business so they can serve you.
Data retention & your choices
We keep records as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Clients may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Merchants may request account deletion from their settings page or by contacting us. To exercise privacy rights or ask questions, contact [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use of LOCLbox after changes means you accept the updated policy.
